“Countryside Dreams: A Painter’s Journey from Dublin to Nenagh”

    Exciting News!!!

I am thrilled to announce my second solo exhibition, “Countryside Dreams: a Painter’s Journey from Dublin to Nenagh”, which will be showcased at the Nenagh Arts Centre. This exhibition is a special milestone for me, and I’d like to share the story behind it with you.

After the success of my first solo exhibition, “Springtime: a New Beginning” at the Middle Country Café in Cloughjordan, I was eager to embark on a new artistic journey. Moving from Dublin to Nenagh has brought me not only new surroundings but also new challenges and inspirations. Collaborating with the art director of Nenagh Arts Centre, we decided to take on the ambitious task of showcasing my biggest pieces to date. The twist? To fully capture the essence of these large canvases, they had to be painted first!

Choosing what to paint was another challenge. Before settling in Nenagh, I traveled extensively around Ireland, soaking in the diverse beauty of this incredible country. Narrowing down my experiences to just 13 paintings was no easy feat. Each painting is a window into the two faces of Ireland: the vibrant, bustling streets of Dublin with its mix of brick houses and sleek glass skyscrapers, and the serene countryside, rich with ancient traditions and breathtaking natural landscapes like Downpatrick Head and Muckross Abbey.

No exhibition about Nenagh would be complete without a tribute to my new home. One of my personal favorites, “Nenagh in White,” captures the magic of my first snow in Nenagh, just a month after I moved here. The memory of that snowy day is dear to me, complete with the tiny snowman I managed to build in my garden.

This post is also an invitation to join me for the opening night on the 3rd of October from 6 to 8 PM at the Nenagh Arts Centre. The exhibition will run until the 1st of November, and I hope you’ll come to experience the journey from Dublin’s cityscapes to the peaceful countryside through my eyes.

Looking forward to sharing this special occasion with you all!
